Day 348: My Minxes - These are the Pyraminx and Megaminx Puzzles. The Pyraminx is a 4 sided triangular puzzle, and the Megaminx is a Dodecahedron, which has 12 pentagonal sides.

I have solved ALL of my puzzles and I am proud of it!

Day 347: Today is 12/12/12 the last repetative day we’ll ever have in our LIFETIME. Big whoop… I’m fairly sure 2/2/22 still counts as 9/9/99 counted so its not that far away.

Anyway… I kinda planned this for the 12th as 12x12x12 is essentially the same as 12 cubed… I don’t HAVE 12 cubes but I’m fairly sure I don’t care.

Day 342: Low Poly Pip - You saw it coming, lets face it.

By the way… sorry I’ve not been updating the blog the past few days, I’ve been extremely busy IRL, christmas shopping, concerts, job hunting, interviews etc and by the time I get back and make something I have to upload it… there’s going to be a big surge of pictures coming in the next few days. What I think I’ll do is post 2 per day until we’re caught up to the date, that way the pictures still get a bit of limelight… I’ll update the facebook all in one go!

Day 339: World Slices! - I did this again in a low poly style, went with the whole Video Game stereotypical level types. Grassy homeland, Desert, Forest, Snowy, Rocky, Under Water and a Lava World. Then I added some Vehicles. UFO’s a Rocket, a Boat and a Car!

This was a lot of fun to build and I’m going to expand on the ideas and do some more stuff tomorrow. Probably going to try out some possible people designs!!!

Day 337: Pip from Above! - An angle you’ve not seen him at OMG… as you can probably tell I’m working on a Christmas Episode despite the fact I said I wasn’t going to. I came up with a simple but effective idea that is currently being made. I’m approaching a minute and it’ll probably be about 2 minutes. Should finish it within the week, aiming for release some point nearer to Christmas!

Day 335: What I see - Rather than making another nice shiny polished render I thought I’d show you what I see when I’m making the Pip stuff… Pip seems to have taken over as my main interest, which wasn’t my intention at the start of the year but I love animating him so much that it’s kind of taken over. I’m going to put the time I usually spend on this project into developing more Pip cartoons next year… and make them much more epic! I think I could actually do an episode or at least a segment where it’s rendered like this… that could be interesting! Also… ONE MONTH LEFT!!!!

Day 329: Element Test -Testing out the After Effects Plugin “Element” Thought I’d go a bit overkill on my first attempt. It’s pretty easy to use, and I love how fast you can do complex 3D stuff with. Cinema 4D would take a hell of a lot longer than 8 minutes to render this!!!

Remember: This is a TEST so it’s a bit crappy, just showing what is possible.
